What is Speciality Coffee?
Speciality Coffee makes up for 2–5% of the world’s coffee and is judged on a 100-point scoring system. The classification of quality is assessed by tasters that are authorised by the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) based on acidity, balance, body, clarity, sweetness and uniformity. Coffee that has been awarded a score of 80+ is considered to be a speciality coffee.
The coffee that we use here at Fueled is traceable, locally roasted and specially selected by our SCA certified director to ensure that we serve and prepare only the best coffee to our customers.
We are full members of the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) – a nonprofit, membership-based organization that represents thousands of coffee professionals, from producers to baristas all over the world.
Our Coffee
We only serve the best speciality coffee that we can find. It is important to us and our morals that our beans are traceable to its humble beginnings and that they are ethically sourced and farmed.
People are becoming more knowledgeable about coffee and its origins and together we can make sure not only that the coffee tastes great, but we can also tell the story behind it.
Our Barista's
A barista is a knowledgeable specialist, in the same way as a wine steward or sommelier is for wine. A barista is an expert in producing espresso and espresso-based drinks.
We only hire skilled, like minded, passionate baristas to guarantee that the quality and taste of the coffee is achieved in every cup.
